access
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 접근 | 명사 | access to + 명사 | 자료·장소 접근 | Access to the archive is restricted. |
| 접근하다 | 타동사 | access + 목적어 | 정보·시스템 이용 | Employees can access the database. |
| 이용권·이용 권한 | 명사 | have/gain access to | 시설·서비스 이용 | Members have access to the lounge. |
Authorized staff may access the personnel files.
-
Only authorized staff have access to the personnel files.
-
The administrator gave new employees access to the system.
-
be accessible to + 사람: 사람이 이용할 수 있습니다
The online manual is accessible to all employees.
|---|---|---|
| 맞음 | You can access the report online.
You can |
| 맞음 | You have access to the report. | 명사 + to + 대상 |
특히 have access to와 can access의 전환이 자주 혼동됩니다.
동사 access 뒤에는 to를 쓰지 않습니다. access to X가 가능한 것은 access가 명사일 때입니다.
동사: access X / 명사: have access to X
Employees can access to the billing system.
Employees can access the billing system.
can 뒤의 access는 동사이며, the billing system을 직접 목적어로 받습니다.
Temporary staff do not have access the storage room.
Temporary staff do not have access to the storage room.
The password allows users to have access the online records.
The password allows users to have access to the online records.
The password allows users to access the online records.
일반적인 이용 권한을 말하면서 an access라고 쓰기보다 access 또는 access to a service라고 표현하는 것이 자연스럽습니다.
명사 access는 access to the server처럼 대상을 to로 연결하지만, 동사 access는 ‘접근하여 이용하다’라는 의미를 하나의 타동사에 담아 access the server라고 씁니다.
